Átlátszó Erdély (Transparent Transylvania) in an investigative journalism outlet published by an NGO named Asociatia “Atlatszo Erdely Egyesulet” with its editorial offices in Cluj-Napoca. Our goal is to contribute to a transparent, accountable and democratic Hungarian community in Transylvania, which requires a press that is independent and critical towards those in power.

Our independence is guaranteed by the fact that we are not backed by political parties or economic interest groups. The founders of the NGO are journalists, and our budget is partly provided by international grants, and partly by donations from our readers. We publish every year a report about our income and expenditure, as well as our achievements.
